Owners Darren and Kim Rubach founded Bayside Plasterboard in 2001 with a clear vision: to create a business that prioritized quality products and exceptional customer service. Starting with just three staff members, one truck, and a modest 400m² shed, their motto was simple yet powerful: “Not thousands of products, but good, old-fashioned service.”

Thanks to their commitment to excellence, Bayside Plasterboard quickly gained a reputation for reliability and service. Within a few short years, increased demand necessitated a significant expansion. In 2004, Darren and Kim built a 3500m² complex at 1424 New Cleveland Rd, Capalaba, to better serve their growing customer base.

In 2016, Darren’s vision of growth materialized once more. Bayside Plasterboard acquired a second location in Carrara on the Gold Coast, extending their delivery zone and making their renowned service accessible to even more customers. Today, Bayside Plasterboard’s delivery network stretches from the southern tip of the Sunshine Coast to nearly Byron Bay.

With a fleet of vehicles and a highly experienced team, Bayside Plasterboard goes above and beyond to meet the needs of its customers. The Capalaba complex now serves the building industry in central and northern Brisbane, while the Carrara location caters to southern regions. The team—from drivers and warehouse staff to administrators and managers—works tirelessly to uphold the company’s legacy of exceptional service.
